In a word, garbage. In a paragraph...I've been studying with free study guides for a few months to refresh my knowledge for the A+ CompTIA exam. To ensure that I would pass the test first try, I deemed it a good idea to invest in some certification material. This company with their "100% Money-back guarantee" is just another useless company hiding behind the internet to make money off of the unsuspecting. It's happened to me before, so this one is my fault really. I found the website, and in very proper english it laid out the details of their program and how it was 'simply the facts, no unnecessary information included'. The website promised my money back if I failed the test on the first try. Sounded good to me, so I laid down over $150 for 5 discs...And I recieved 5 CDs, with ~50MB worth of data on each, the practice test CD had less than 10MB on it. I immediately knew something was up, but gave the disks a shot anyway, after sending a concerned email to the address I was given when I ordered (a Yahoo address, red flag #2).I was disappointed, but not incredibly surprised to learn that the 'training program' was in fact a very low-quality Visual Basic program with little more than poorly grammar'd text and a voice-over who obviously knew nothing about the material, as he would struggle with simple acronyms and mis-pronounced several key words. To add to my insult, the practice questions were an even simpler program, written in VERY non-american english that was nearly impossible to comprehend. As it's said in the gaming world, PHAIL.A person with years of experience and some amount of training MAY be able to glean a bit of fresh knowledge from these disks, and as my 2nd email still hasn't been answered a week later, I suppose I have little other recourse but to try. However, if you have limited or no prior knowledge of the material, DO NOT purchase anything from this company. They know their product is trash and they avoid me because they feel they can get away with my $150, that I'll be too embarrassed to press the issue, or perhaps I don't have the money to pursue it properly. The BEGINNING of my answer to that assumption is this post, so that maybe I can spare a few others the shame that I now face, and spare this pitiful excuse for a company as much business as I may, to see them wiped from the business world like the parasites they are. Find a CompTIA approved program if you plan to take one of these tests, or whoever creates the test you're trying to take. Make sure you do your research before you spend money on a company like this. Remember, people can say whatever they want on the internet, it's up to the consumer to get educated and make the proper choice. Don't be a fool and take shortcuts like I did.
