ARB contacted me on Friday. I signed their agreement and sent in my paperwork. They pretty much promised me that I wouldn't have to pay any money out, they would do it all, and collect extra money on top of the principal amount owed to me.
On Monday, they called and said their " expedited " service was the only means which would actually work. Feeling skeptical, because the agreement made no guarantees of recovery, I checked them out on the BBB website. They have been signed up since June of this year, and already have 4 complaints.
So, now I think I may hire an attorney myself to do,this.
They also said they were going to go to a person involved in the case, and NOT to the Title Insurance, which was my first assumption of where to pursue this debt.
They originally claimed I would pay nothing, and they would get 25% over and above of the principal, in addition to my getting all the principal back.
They also said they checked and looked into his bank account, to see what he owed, yet , how can anyone do that without a court order?
