Monthly membership fee resolved

I got a free credit report in February. I did not notice the disclaimer on the site that I would automatically be signed up for the monthly membership a week after the credit report unless I called to cancel. My card was then charged until I noticed the fee on my billing statement.
I went to Free Credit Report just to get a credit report and was not interested in the monthly membership. I was upset that my card was being charged for a service that I did not "sign up" for.
I called Free Credit Report to cancel the membership and then went to Trustlink to see if I could resolve this issue. After working with Trustlink, Free Credit Report agreed to refund my money.
Though I don't think it is clear enough on their website that you will be signed up for the monthly membership automatically after a credit report, I think it's important to note that the company did refund my money and is honest.
