Infinit Blue Jewels - Zero Star - Nightmare experience rife with fraud.
|
My review is of the company called Infinite Blue Jewels (or Infinit Blue), which operates a diamond jewellery store on eBay and on Amazon. Before I made a purchase with them I thought I had done my due diligence by contacting them and reading their reviews, but I was defrauded. Before I bought the rings I asked what type of clarity enhancement they use on their diamonds and they responded via email that they used laser enhancement. Since I was on a limited budget, I purchased the rings, knowing that laser enhanced diamonds are still good quality. The company claimed they were selling me a 1.5ct center stone, G-H colour, SI clarity, rose gold bridal set. The diamond was small and cloudy and the rings looked like inferior quality, even to my untrained eyes. I returned the set and was convinced to upgrade to another set. This time, they sent me the wrong size but with the same small cloudy diamond. I took the rings to be re-sized and when the jeweler cut the ring he discovered that it wasn't rose gold, but white gold plated in rose gold. Proceeding with the resizing would result in the rings turning white. He advised me to return the rings and get my money back as he believed a company that was deceptive in the actual metal could also deceive me on the diamond. I returned the rings and asked for a refund. They company apologized and offered to send me another set with a better diamond. I had that appraised by an independent lab and it was not even close to what Infinite Blue Jewels claimed it was in weight, colour, clarity. I returned those and insisted on a final refund but the manager contacted me and apologized, stating he was upgrading the diamond to E colour, blah blah blah and that if I wasn't happy he would send me a full refund plus my shipping costs. I reluctantly accepted the offer knowing that I had that guarantee of a full refund. Anyway, the diamond looked shinier but was still small. It came with a fake GRA certificate stating it was E colour, SI1, 1.52ct, and no fluorescence. I had that appraised and found out that it was 1.15ct, G-H colour and I1 clarity! It also had STRONG fluorescence and was FRACTURE FILLED, which was NEVER disclosed to me. I contacted the company immediately and asked for my money back, but they refused. I found out that there are other customers who have had similar experiences. It was the worst shopping experience I have ever had and I will never buy from eBay again. I paid almost $4K for the set, but the diamond is not even worth $700. I would have been better off buying from an honest seller who sells non-enhanced diamonds at a slightly higher cost.
