Joe Young's law firm is a travesty of the justice system in California. I hired Young 11 month's ago to handle a simple Wage and Penalties claim for me. Young stated it was a "Slam Dunk" case. As soon as I wire transferred the money into his bank account
the deception began. After 8 month's of absolutely no progress on a case that should have taken 3 months to complete, I finally called the Labor Commissioner on my own dime to get a status report. Was told that my case had been closed by the Commissioner's
office 2 months ago and that a letter indicating that was forwarded to my attorney. I asked for a copy of the letter and had it in 3 days. Joe Young's office lied to me constantly making me think they were waiting for a response from the Commissioner's office.
In fact, a response had been received 2 months ago but because this firm was ignorant on the law, they lied and lied to buy time. When I confronted Joe Young about my findings I was cursed at, told to shut up and told that he was done with me. I paid him almost
$2000 and now have absolutely nothing to show for it. I'm heartbroken that this has happened to me and I want to prevent this from happening to other unsuspecting clients. Read the reviews on Young before you give him even one dime.
