Think Credit Reports - SCAMMERS of the worst kind!
|
I experienced the same scenario reported by others. I was looking at a website about home mortgage refinance and saw the offer for $1.00. I never saw any information regarding a $29.95 monthly charge or any other information. As others reported, I was unable to get the credit report, and never received any e-mail confirmation or acknowledgement a transaction had occurred. When I saw the $29.95 charge on my bank statement, I contacted my bank to stop any additional charges. By then I had been charged for two months. I contacted think credit to get credited the money they took from me. The first woman kept talking in an angry and loud voice and interrupting me. I asked to speak to her manager, but she said her manager was busy. I asked to hold, and she said she couldn't do that, so she took my number and said her manager would call me back. I waited two hours with no call, so I called them back. I finally got through to the "supervisor" whose tactic was also to interrupt. I then received a 5 minute lecture (seriously) on how "our society" doesn't read anymore and basically it's our fault. Their tactic is "blame the victim." When I said I would contact the BBB, she finally backed down and said I would get credited. I hope no one else falls prey to these evil people. This was the first and last time for me!
